NATURE OF WORK

The position of administration officer entails the performance of the management duties pertaining to the technical and administrative activities required in the Data Management & Analytics Department. This position additionally supports the inland schools in relation to their use of: GPI, MOZAIK Portal, JADE, Charlemagne, and responsibilities related to the effective organization of schools and student data management within these systems.

CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS

Contributes to the consultative and collaborative process for developing the objectives, strategies, and action plan of the school board in relation to Data Management & Analytics.

Ensures the planning, organization, and execution of various technical and administrative activities for Data Management & Analytics according to the priorities and schedules established.

Commitment to learning all GRICS and ministry systems to be able to manage and facilitate the trainings to all applicable stakeholders.

Collaborates in creating management tools and training tools adapted to the needs of the department and other administrative units.

Assures the quality control over the various operations and activities for the MOZAIK/GPI/JADE/Charlemagne systems.

Prepares and circulates reports, documents and statistics relating to their sector of activity.

Supports schools and the department in relation to maintaining the accuracy of student data information, as well as declaration of student clientele.

Works in collaboration with the Department of School Operations and schools in ensuring that schools are supported in developing their student schedules and meeting required tasks for effective school operations.

Supports schools through in-person and online sessions throughout the year.

Any other tasks requested from the supervisor. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A College Diploma in an appropriate field.

Fluency in English and Cree.

French language is an asset.

Knowledge of the GRICS system is an asset.

Comfortable working in a computerized environment.
High level of autonomy, flexibility, and strong communication and inter-cultural skills.

Conscious and meticulous in their work.

Some travelling will be required.
