ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD ASSISTANT
10-DAY TRAINING COMBINED WITH EMPLOYMENT
Niigaan is offering a paid practical training in Chisasibi in May 2024 (after Goose break) that will give access to a job in environmental surveys in Eeyou Istchee, related to vegetation, wetlands, water quality, fish sampling and habitat.
Your Challenges
If you’re interested in working outside, you’ll be involved in a 10-day environmental course with field practical training around Chisasibi. You will learn to handle field tablet and basic measure equipment, soil and hydrologic indicators, wetland classification, vegetation identification, fish biological sampling and inventory methods.
Your Profile
- Enjoy working outdoors and be able to walk long distances
- Motivated and curious
- Demonstrate autonomy and able to work in teams
Job Requirements
- Over 18 years of age, open to all
- Succeed the 10-day training
- Driver’s license an asset
Work Conditions

- 12-day shifts with lodging in a camp
