Wachiya Cashier
As a Cashier at Wachiya, you will be the front-line representative of our store, providing exceptional customer service and support in processing transactions and assisting customers with their inquiries. You will also play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide friendly and efficient service throughout their shopping experience.
- Assist customers in locating products, answering inquiries about merchandise, and offering recommendations as needed.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Cash Handling
- Operate cash register and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Count cash at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate drawer balances and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Product Knowledge
- Maintain a basic understanding of store products, including artists, artisans, and their creations, to assist customers with inquiries and promote sales.
- Stay informed about promotions, sales, and special events happening in the store to effectively communicate information to customers.
- Store Maintenance
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized, including the counter, cash register, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with restocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and maintaining overall store cleanliness to enhance the shopping environment.
- Compliance and Security
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety protocols, cash-handling procedures, and security measures.
- Report and incidents, discrepancies, or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred but not required.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in operating a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
