ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Service Truck Operator is part of the Surface Services team. He/she is responsible for operating service trucks, such as tampers, concrete mixers, 25-ton trucks, etc., required for surface services operations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  •  Move machinery using a fardier 
  • Operate concrete mixer 
  • Operate 25-ton truck for civil engineering work 
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment through periodic mechanical inspection 
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly in terms of health and safety. 
  • Keep the workplace clean and safe at all times 
  • Report all incidents/accidents to supervisor 
  • Participate in ongoing training program to improve best practices 
  • All tasks related to the performance of duties 

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE 

  • Vocational diploma in heavy machinery operation or more than 2 years’ relevant experience 
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license 
  • Bilingualism, French and English (an asset)

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Work schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest 
  • Eleonore Mine Site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D’Or and Wemindji)
