Schedule: 7 days of work followed by 7 days off

Home port: Val-d’Or, Chibougamau-Chapais, St-Hubert and Quebec airports
Stornoway is recruiting a Senior Mining Surveyor. Reporting to the Chief Surveyor, you will work closely with the Mining Engineering and Operations team. You will be responsible for the following activities:
- Plan, organize, design and follow up on underground and open pit mining operations;
- Coordinate the interactions between the various departments;
- Supervise the team of surveyors and ensure the quality of the information provided;
- Produce monthly progress reports on operations;
- Perform follow-ups and plan orders for the various consumables required;
- Perform all other tasks that the Chief Surveyor deems necessary to ensure the efficient conduct of activities.
Profile required
- You have training in surveying or a college diploma in mineral technology with a minimum of 5 years experience in a open pit or underground operation;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Excellent ability to plan, prioritize and organize tasks in a context of tight deadlines;
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and French;
- Hold the mining worker’s modular training (1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5 and 7) and a general explosives permit;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of software such as, Autocad and Promine is an asset;
- Ability to work in a team;
