Relief Supervisor

The Relief Supervisor – Process is part of the team overseeing the process sector. The incumbent is responsible to support the operation supervisor to ensure the proper functioning of the security operation. He/She ensure the optimisation of all system according to establish performance indicators.  He/she optimizes all circuits using established performance indicators and identifies operational and mechanical problems with equipment.

 

DESCRIPTION

  • Replace supervisor during his absence
  • Help to do follow up of the working card
  • Animate huddle
  • Able to complete, review and valid an AST
  • Able to operate crushing system/flotation and cyanidation/CIP and elution and operate the factory via the control room
  • Start and stop equipment in your sector based on established procedures
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment using a DCS control system and regular mechanical inspections
  • Conduct procedural quality control tests to ensure compliance with operating instructions
  • Ensure the integrity of quarter samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety
  • Participate in the creation and revision of work instructions and lockout sheets
  • Ensure that the worksite is clean and safe at all times
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety
  • Report any incident/accident to your supervisor
  • Participate in  the  continuing  education  program  to replace  the  position  of  Operations  Foreman  – Procedures
  • Keep records on production and write reports
  • Assist mechanics with maintenance work and production stoppages
  • All other related tasks
  • Schedule : 14 days of work followed by 14 days off

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies in Mineral Processing or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in gold mining operations
  • Knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems
  • Valid driver licence
  • Bilingualism essential
