  • High School Diploma for the Cook job title
  • Collegial degree in social work technique or appropriate discipline for the Social assistance technician job title
  • No specific diploma for Guard and Housekeeping attendant but a reading and writing test must be successfully completed
  • Team work abilities;
  • Autonomous, flexible and punctual;
  • Excellent communication skills.

Social assistance technician: $23.12 to $33.61  /  Social aide: $22.59 to $30.46

Guard: $19.73 to $20.22   /   Cook: $24.76   /   Housekeeping attendant: $19.69

SAT: Person who conducts socially oriented activities in accordance with the techniques specific to her/his profession

Social aide: Person who, without having a diploma as a Social Assistance Technician and within the limits of her/his skills and training, does work that is similar in nature and related to that of a Social Assistance Technician.

Guard: Person who ensures the protection of the establishment’s property and belongings and maintains order. In addition, she/he greets people entering the establishment, provides surveillance, ensures the protection of the users and responds to their needs.

Cook: Person who prepares, seasons, cooks and portions food; ensures the optimum use of food. She/he may be asked to keep the list of food supplies up-to-date.

Housekeeping attendant: Person assigned to cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in the institution, including the heavy work.
