Job Description



Under the responsibility of the Executive Vice President and Head of the Sustainable Development Department, the Project Manager aligns the actions resulting from the sustainable development strategy, carries out mandates aimed at the deployment of structuring projects associated with the adoption of eco responsible business practices and clean technologies. He organizes the exchange of points of view, the emergence of ideas and the production of documents, leading to an action program that implements sustainable development in a concrete manner in the communities and territories involved.


  • Guides the various stakeholders in the sustainable development strategy.
  • Coordinates with the departments, the implementation of structuring projects in his sector.
  • Manages several types of large-scale projects.
  • Ensures that each stage of the projects under his responsibility (diagnosis, consultation, activities) is carried out correctly and in accordance with the objectives, deadlines, and budget.
  • Mobilizes resources and sees to the coordination and follow-up of mandates.
  • Develops awareness sessions on sustainable development and a communication plan towards the partners and the inhabitants of the territories involved. He is a central link in changing behaviours and habits in terms of consumption, transportation, production, etc.
  • Collects, compiles, analyzes, and presents the necessary data to the managers and partners.
  • Monitors progress and results of projects.
  • Keeps abreast of sustainability guidelines, best practices, and innovative initiatives.
  • Leads meetings and working groups.
  • Organizes and facilitates engagement and outreach activities.
  • Writes and prepares grant applications, monitoring reports, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required for accountability and other purposes.
  • Conducts strategic intelligence in the field of the circular economy.
  • Develops various programs, processes, and tools according to the growth and needs of the organization.
  • Directs the realization of mandates assigned to external agencies.
  • Supports the teams in the application of sustainability requirements.
  • Ensures knowledge of regulations and best practices in the industry to respond effectively to internal and external client requests.
  • Represents the organization, or delegates representatives, to act on behalf of the organization at official functions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainable development or any other relevant combination of studies.
  • Experience in project management and business coaching.
  • Knowledge and mastery of ESG (environmental, social and governance) principles.
  • Knowledge of circular economy or eco-counseling (an asset).
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Valide drivers License.

  • Good oral and written communication skills and comfortable with reporting.

  • Work location : Teleworking.
  • Required to travel to project sites and host communities.
