Position: Plumber

Department: Mine

Sub-department: Maintenance

Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days off

Location: Renard Mine

Home ports: Val d’Or, Chibougamau-Chapais, St-Hubert and Quebec airports

Posting date: From April 20, 2023 to May 11, 2023

Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for maintaining the distribution system.

You will contribute to the success of the organization by performing the following responsibilities:

•    Construction and maintenance of treatment and distribution systems;
•    Installation, adjustment, modification of water and wastewater systems;
•    Cleaning and maintenance of a wide variety of plumbing systems and equipment;
•    Cleaning and maintenance of ventilation systems and appliances;
•    Installation and maintenance of natural gas (NG) systems;
•    Sanitary troubleshooting including leak repair, drain cleaning and repair;
•    Read blueprints, drawings and technical specifications to determine the layout of piping, water supply and sewer systems;
•    Measure, cut, bend and tap pipe using hand and power tools and machines;
•    Properly performs work orders in the CMMS system;
•    Perform all other related tasks.

What do you need to succeed?

•    You have a vocational diploma in plumbing-heating or any combination of equivalent education or experience;
•    You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in plumbing or natural gas maintenance;
•    You have a Journeyman Certificate of Competence (CCC) in plumbing and heating and the following trade cards: ITG, TAG-2 or TAG-1;
•    You have a valid driver’s license;
•    You are a good team player and wish to work in a multicultural environment;
•    You have excellent planning, organization and execution skills;
•    You are autonomous, resourceful and flexible in terms of the tasks to be performed;
•    You have an exemplary attitude towards health and safety in the workplace;
•    You have good written and oral communication skills (English, French).
