OPEN POSITION: OFFICE AGENT CLASS I

LOCATION OF WORK: MONTREAL – POST-SECONDARY STUDENT SERVICES

COMPETITION NUMBER: MTL-3934

 

NATURE OF THE WORK

The principal and customary role of an employee in this class of employment consists of performing a variety of administrative functions according to methods and procedures of a relatively complex nature, for post secondary student services.

 

CHARACTERISTIQUES FUNCTIONS

The duties of the employee in this class of employment involve specialization in the selection, preparation and verification of data as well as in the preparation of documents, including the recording of documents obtained as a result of research within or outside the organization. The employee may, in particular;

Coordinate the implementation of various procedures regarding his or her area of work.

Prepares and collects all data, information and documents related to students in his/her particular area;

Verifies and clarifies certain documents and performs simple tasks such as preparing, filing and circulating documents of student administrative files.

Updates all data, information, documents of student administrative files by recording the completed work into the Post Secondary data system.

Handles correspondence related to his or her work and may be assigned relatively specialized work of the Post Secondary Student Services.

Assists in the recording and maintenance of specific student data in the computer system;

If need be, he/she performs any other related task.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in an appropriate specialty for the class of employment, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority; and have one (1) year of pertinent experience.

English is a requirement;

Ability to speak Cree is required;

Knowledge of the French language is an asset;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including typing, word processing, Word and the arrangement of texts is required

 

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Full-time position.

35 hours/week

 

SALARY

$20.76 /hr. to $23.22 hr.

Northern Allowance: $8,484.00 to $13,573.00
