DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Assistant is part of the Human Resources Sector team. This person is responsible for the local recruitment, welcome and integration processes and communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Welcome the new employees and support them in their HR integration at work
  • Assume administrative management of the following human resources processes:
    • Follow up hiring and integration of new employees
    • Follow up employee absenteeism cases (CNESST, short and long-term disability, parental, family)
    • Manage the department’s procurement (purchase orders, receipt of invoices)
    • Direct the requests made to the Human Resources Team to the appropriate support teams
    • Update the local HR intranet page
  • Produce: the follow-up, statistical and end-of-cycle closing reports for the management team
  • Produce: various communications
  • Develop: working methods and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of his/her work team.
  • Ensure the availability of the material and resource people needed to carry out the activities
  • Perform all other tasks related to the performance of their duties

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University certificate in human resources or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of Success Factors HRIS (Asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English) essential

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

  • Eleonore mine site (Fly in / Fly Out)
  • Schedule: 8 days of work followed by 6 days of rest , 4 days of work followed by 3 days of rest, 4 days of work followed by 3 days of rest
