Job Description


Under the direction and supervision of the Head Mechanic, the Clerk (CLK) is responsible to serve customers by greeting, welcoming, addressing their needs and scheduling the appointments. The CLK also provides clerical and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient service to its customers. 


  • Welcomes customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; 
  • Answer telephone, direct calls, and take messages; 
  • Confer with coworkers to coordinate work activities; 
  • Receive and schedule everyday appointments of customers and contact them if needed; 
  • Finalize, complete, process, and enter data of work orders; 
  • May advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements that were requested on work order; 
  • Maintain inventory records upon request; 
  • Receive, record and collect payments; 
  • Issue quotations for jobs upon client requests; 
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information; 
  • Respond to customer problems or complaints and redirect to immediate supervisor if needed; 
  • Maintain data of customer profile in the AB Magic; 
  • Complete and file work orders and schedules; 
  • Unpack, stack shelves and price products for resale; 
  • Pick up parts and accessories upon request; 
  • Remove snow and clear all entrance, emergency exits and ensure that it is safe of ice and debris.  
  • Maintain the counter and the surrounding areas (front & back) neat and orderly; 
  • Follow company’s Operating and Human Resources policies and procedures; 
  • Follow and maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations and procedures; 
  • Ensure code of ethics and confidentiality is respected at all times; 
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor and the senior clerk.. 


  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred 
  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience as an office clerk or in another clerical position 
  • Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook 
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record 
  • Fluency in Cree and English, French is an asset 
  • Clean criminal background check

  • $32,096.71 – $52,010.54 based on classification, qualifications and experience
