The Long Hole Driller is part of the Mine Operations team. He/she ensures drilling of production holes and operates the ITH drill for slot-raise.

DESCRIPTION

• Supply equipment and storage underground
• Maintain shelters, equipment racks and fuel racks
• Operate machinery, such as mast trucks, Jeeps, tractors and wheel loaders
• Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety
• All other related tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a DEP (diploma of vocational education) in ore extraction
• Have five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience on various long hole drills
• Experience with ITH
• Have the mine worker modular training card
• Hold a general explosives permit
• Have a valid driver’s licence
• Bilingual (an advantage)

• Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
