Job Description

Development Miner – Service (2 Positions)

The Development Miner is part of the mining operations team. He/she participates in drilling activities for accessing various underground levels where gold ore extraction for production purposes takes place.

Description:

  • Wash and scale the worksite
  • Load and dynamite the blasts
  • Participate in implementing water, air and ventilation services
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety
  • All other related tasks

Requirements:

  • Professional Studies Diploma in ore extraction
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
  • Valid general explosives permit
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • Bilingualism (asset)
  • Be accreditated by the trainer on our various service equipments.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
  • Eleonore mine site ( Fly-in, Fly-out)

This position is based at Newmont’s Eleonore mine site, which is a fly-in/fly-out operation.
