NATURE OF WORK

Under the supervision of the coordinator of information systems and telecommunications, the main role of this position will be to provide support to customers on the use of information systems across the school board as well as the maintenance management of administrative and educational applications and associated databases.

In addition, this job will consist of supporting and maintaining home-developed applications with programming or “SQL Query” interventions on the various databases.

CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS

Tests and modifies applications in order to meet the specific needs of users and adapts them ensure that they are compatible with the existing systems.

Acts as a resource person for the maintenance of software (IS), particularly with regard to the installation and configuration.

Drafts instructions for software and applications and participates in the training of users and supports them in order to maximize their use.

Formulates suggestions and proposes recommendations to his or her superior officers concerning the purchase of information systems (IS) in accordance to the standards in place.

Ensures proper operations of IP telephone equipment throughout the administrative offices and schools; checks for phone devices changes or relation, phone extensions, configuration, etc.

If need be, he performs any other related duty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a diploma of college studies in computer science technology, or hold an attestation/certificate of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

Knowledge of the database software MS-SQL 2016.

4 years of relevant experience.

Bilingual in French and English.

Cree language would be an asset.

Willingness to travel
