JOB SUMMARY
Under the immediate supervision and direction of the Board of Directors, more specifically the President, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the operations and administration of Chisasibi Business Development Group Inc. and its subsidiaries, and working with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on financial projections. As a key member of the senior management team, the COO establishes operating policies and procedures that promote company culture and values.
OVERVIEW OF MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- – Lead and support the CBDG and its subsidiaries’ mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities and cultural point of views;
- – Execute the strategic management plans and directives from the Board of Directors;
- – Spearheads new business initiatives and oversees the early stages of new business development;
- – Act as a liaison and key management between the Board of Directors and the companies regarding their operations;
- – Provide a leadership role by coordinating the appointed team on new projects as identified by Board of Directors in accordance to the strategic and business plan;
- – Oversee and provide support and direction on operations and marketing for all subsidiaries to meet business goals and projections;
- – Maintain efficiency of the companies through diverse business operations by establishing and following a set of policies and processes;
- – Deal with corporate files and ensure that CBDG and its subsidiaries are in compliance;
- – Empower the operational team with leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operation initiatives;
- Evaluate performance of administrators and managers on a yearly basis and develop plans to improve relevant key performance;
- Ensure the preparation of operational report is conducted on a regular basis by the subsidiary managers. Review, analyze and present to the Board of Directors with the collaboration of the respective manager;
- In collaboration with the Management and Executives such as the Chief Financial Officer and/or President:
- Participate in the preparation and follow ups of the annual budgets;
- Ensure all scheduled board meetings run efficiently;
- Ensure preparation, drafting and production of CBDG and its subsidiaries annual operating report;
- Act as a resource to the auditors and other committees established from time to time;
- Represent CBDG and its subsidiaries by attending information sessions and/or other relevant meetings and conferences that will promote growth and overall success;
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by President and/or the Board of Directors
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Business Administration or relevant field
- Minimum of five (5) year experience in Executive Management position
- Minimum of three (3) years Accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of different business functions such as IT, Human Resources, Marketing
- Previous experience in strategic planning and business development
- Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Knowledge of government regulations is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- • Permanent Full-time position
- 35 hours per week
- 6-month probationary period
