Under the authority of the General Manager, the Buyer is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for CCDC, its subsidiaries and joint ventures in the following areas: residential construction, commercial and institutional construction / Civil Engineering / Environment / Administration, etc.
•Manage and distributes requisitions in related fields on a day-to-day basis;
•Selects products and suppliers, negotiates, fulfills and forwards orders to suppliers;
•Identifies, meets, and negotiates agreements with potential suppliers.
•Prepares documents relating to tenders and carries out the analysis of tenders and/or requests received.
•Ensures the updating of files relating to the various products and the verification of contract budgets.
•Will make every effort to meet the deadlines according to the needs, budgets and priorities established by the Company;
•Receive goods, check, and sign delivery notes.
•Receives and sends mail/orders to the airport.
•Collaborates with project managers and other colleagues.
•Performs administrative tasks at the request of the supervisor
•Proposes and maintains recommendations for workload improvement.
•May be prompted to perform certain physical tasks.
•All other work-related tasks.
•Un college diploma in business administration or a related field.
•Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position or inventory management is required.
•Knowledge of the construction market in general (asset);
•Must be able to negotiate effectively with suppliers;
•Possess the appropriate computer knowledge (Maestro, Excel) is required;
•Excellent knowledge of French and English, whether oral, written or written, is required.
•Knowledge of the Cree language is an important asset.
