Job Description

OPEN POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN
COMPETITION NUMBER: CHI-3772
LOCATION OF WORK: Chisasibi – RTI

 

NATURE OF WORK

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing various technical tasks related to the management of student profiles and student data and financial resources, systems and procedures, communication and publicity; as well as performing various tasks of an administrative nature of the purpose of ensuring satisfactory operations with regard to the Response to Intervention Imitative. In his or her work the administrative technician may assist professional personnel.

 

CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS

The administrative technician reports directly to the Coordinator of RTI. His/her duties include:

The employee gathers, analyzes and prepares files or information for the purpose of recording and monitoring the RTI initiative, more specifically in the areas of student profiles, student progress data, monitoring systems, budget preparation and purchasing, making appropriate recommendations.

The employee performs other administrative tasks, collecting and preparing data in order to send to MEES and CSB Administrators, external entities.

Communicates verbally and in writing with employees as well as school administrators about the RTI protocol and procedures.

Develops communication and monitoring system and documents that support the early identification prevention procedures.

The employee may attend meetings for the purpose of informing personnel of administrative problems and may be asked to act as secretary.

If need be, he or she performs other related tasks.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

To have a college diploma in administration or a
diploma or attestation of studies which is recognized
as equivalent by the competent authority.

Two (2) years of relevant work experience

Knowledge of English language is required.

Knowledge of Cree and French languages are assets.

 

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

Regular full-time position.
35 hours/week.

Salary: $22.23/h – $29.05/h

Northern Allowance: $8,484.00 – $13,573.00
