Salary: $23.12 – $29.97/Hour

Northern Allowance: $9,004.00 – $14,403.00

Retention Premium: $5,500.00


The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in being responsible for the coordination, management and monitoring of tasks carried out by administrative support staff in an administrative. The employee may also perform, exclusively or not, one or several relatively complex and specialized tasks in a particular area.


Prepares the schedule; responsible for ensuring that the schedule is respected by reminding those concerned, whether in or outside the board, of the deadlines.

Coordinates the implementation of various procedures regarding his or her sector of activity.

Responsible for some or all of the accounts pertaining to financial transactions such as payroll, accounts payable and receivable.

Suggests and recommends to technical and professional staff so as to improve the operations.

Carries out tasks which are related to the checking of data and collates these papers to insure that norms and procedures are being observed.

Codes expenditures and identify them by department and by category.

Carries other accounting operations of a relatively complex nature, of a contract nature and/or recurrent (payment certificates, lease, etc.); prints cheques for the suppliers; executes governmental transfers and other salary retentions (alimony, tax seizures, etc.)

Performs any other related duty, if need to be.


Holds a diploma of vocational studies in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment; a secondary school diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as an equivalent by the competent authority.

Have six (6) years of pertinent experience (Finance or Accounting)

Fluency in English is a requirement;

Cree language and French are assets.


Regular full-time position.
35 hrs/week

In accordance with the collective agreement, priority shall be given to beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement.
