Casey’s gas & depanneur is currently looking for a Manager on a permanent full-time basis.  Nested in the community of Ouje-Bougoumou, our gas convenience store is more than just  a stop for fuel. General Accountability 

Casey’s Manager is critical to the proper functioning and daily operations of the gas station  and convenience store. The Manager will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the  operations of establishments that provide services to business, and ensure the quality of  those services and clients satisfaction. The Manager will also supervise staff. This a full time, permanent position that is required to be on-site and reports directly to the Chief  Executive Officer. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Strategic Responsibilities 

Participate in career fairs, general assemblies and other local events.

Attend Board meetings when requested. 

• Prepare reports for management meetings. 

• Participate in the Casey’s strategic planning. 

• Develop and implement action plans in line with the SAP, provide expertise in  response to client needs and staff feedback. 

• Implement existing policies, participate and make recommendations to update  policies to the Human Resource Manager (HRM). 

Financial Responsibilities 

• Plan, administer and control budgets for departments, sales, revenues, equipment  & supplies etc.  

• Enter financial transactions daily in the accounting system (Accomba) (ie. payables,  receivables). 

• Handle money such as deposits & sales. 

• Establish price of retail goods & the fluctuating price of fuel. Monitor changes in  purchasing costs, adjust selling price accordingly and advise CEO on a monthly  basis.  

Functional Responsibilities 

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of establishment that  provide services to the Gas Station and Convenience Store. 

• Complete all required health and safety/fire checks on time. Ensure compliance  with regulations. 

• Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, deal with complaints and inquires in  a professional and courteous manner.

• Complete all daily administration tasks as required. 

• Manage inventory and place order with suppliers. 

• Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact  for the team, customers and the emergency services. 

• Always adhere to all company policies, procedures and licensing laws.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

• Manage, develop and hold accountable all employees and departments.

• Organize and lead weekly team meetings. 

• Manage and maintain correct staffing levels in line with targets and business levels.

• Ensure timecards are filled out by employees daily. Send information to payroll and  HR (including sick days, vacations…) on a bi-weekly basis.  

• Use a tracking system to manage staff time off requests & scheduling.

• Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workshops. 

Employment Requirements 

Education and Certification 

• A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a field related to the business service is  required. 

Experience 

• 3 years of experience in a field related to the business is preferred 

• Supervisory experience would be considered an asset 

Languages 

• Fluency in English & French. 

• Fluency in Cree is an asset.
